Dr. Chris here – I know, I know – there are LOTS of fitness apps out there.



As a primary care doctor and exercise researcher at Penn State, I wanted an app to help my patients (and friends) over 50 get A LOT stronger, but in the simplest way possible.



Though the research was clear that shorter workouts are really effective, they were always buried deep in other apps. I wanted to focus on them – to help people in their 50’s get stronger very simply and quickly.



Our reason for being is to answer this one question: “If we made getting stronger much easier and faster, would more people do it?”



HOW IS IT SO SHORT?


We use 3 research-based hacks to get you stronger much faster.


Hack 1. Keep intensity high.


You have to try very hard. Faster Workouts is hard but short. We will keep increasing the weight every single day, so long as you can do 10 repetitions. If you wait until 15 repetitions, it will take you MUCH longer to get stronger.


Hack 2. Use only multi-joint exercises.


You can do 15 exercises that work 1 muscle or 3 exercises that each work 5 - like we do in Faster Workouts. Both methods are equally effective but one – obviously – takes 5 times as long.


Hack 3. Do only ONE set of each exercise.


Dozens of studies have proven that almost all (80%) of the strength gain comes from the first few sets of an exercise each week. The first set of each exercise gets you 80% of the strength gain and the next two get you only 20% more.
